For this assignment I was supposed to affect how the image communicates emotionally. For my first image I took a picture of my beautiful girlfriend Brinkley at Hendricks Park here in lovely Eugene. The original image shown in the gallery was captured during a brief and rare time of day when the sun came out. We were ecstatic when we saw the sun, we’d hadn’t seen the sun in weeks and wanted to take some pictures outside. The original picture was brightly colored and expressed a happy emotion. I wanted to change that by use the negatives. I also cloned the image so that there was two of her and so that it looked a bit more cynical. The distorted image is now far more darker than the original and expresses more of an evil look to it but still very unique.

Hey Eric!! Great job on the photos!! I Extremely dig these because of how trippy the pictures are and how the light shines through and makes mind boggling visuals for the eye to capture! You have true artistic abilities and I believe you will go far in photography and digital media art! I think the way you manipulated the camera naturally is an exciting touch!!
The mirror effect is awesome. With the light source centered it really give the background a kaleidoscope look. Really cool.
This is beautiful!! Both images are very interesting. I love the mirror effect in the second image. It certainly is a kaleidoscope effect. I also like how the second image is cropped farther up, taking quite a bit of dark color out. Nice job!!
I have to say the original image is beautiful. The use of light and the use of lines in the trees along with the gorgeous curves of your talent make the original very intriguing. There is no doubt you really changed the whole feeling of the original in your distortion. I most enjoyed the mirror image you created. The trees now dissipate and look as though she is in a psychedelic trance. Nice work!
